BetBlocker, the internationally acclaimed charity that focuses on providing self-exclusion and responsible gambling tools and services to vulnerable and at-risk gamblers, has had another exciting statement to make.
The charity has officially launched its US-focused arm, which will seek to provide local players with the means to protect themselves from gambling-related harm.
After successful launches across the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond, the charity is finally arriving in the United States, where gambling has been fast-expanding, and so have gambling-related issues.
BetBlocker joins the market at the right time, as calls to gambling helplines are surging, offering respite to local help resources, as the charity allows players to enroll on self-exclusion programs and get connected to additional help on problem gambling and responsible play.
The arrival of BetBlocker in the United States heralds a new era for responsible play locally, the company feels confident saying. The company has also been registered as a 501(c) Non-profit Organization in Delaware, and it will seek to extend its services across North America as a whole and the United States in particular.
Even better, BetBlocker provides its services in both English and Spanish, and it will soon launch in Chinese, addressing the three largest language groups in the United States, making the charity’s presence in the local market an even more important achievement.
BetBlocker Founder and Trustee Duncan Garvie has hailed this fresh milestone and its implications for the charity and the local market:
"BetBlocker’s pioneering free support has been minimising harm for tens of thousands of people all over the world for close to a decade now. By establishing the US arm of the charity, we hope that we can raise the profile of the service in North America and support tens of thousands more people in the coming years."
Garvie added that he believed strongly in supporting efforts to minimize gambling harm and create a barrier that prevents people from sliding into further self-destructive habits while getting the support they deserve and need.
"I’m confident that in the coming years we will be there for hundreds of thousands of people across the North American continent, that would otherwise struggle to manage their gambling," Garvie noted.
Previously, BetBlocker expanded with an Italian language rollout of its tool. March is also Problem Gambling Awareness Month in the United States, which makes this launch all the more significant.
