Scientific Games, a leading global gaming company, delivering analytics, technology, services and games to lotteries and betting operators, strengthened its C-suite with a new appointment.

New Vice President, Systems Engineering

Earlier this week, the company confirmed it selected Patrick Homm for the key role of Vice President, Systems Engineering.

The executive initially joined Scientific Games back in 2022. However, in the new position, he will play a key role in the company's international lottery systems technology.

Overall, Homm has more than 10 years of experience in tech leadership, software engineering and innovative gaming systems.

Throughout his professional career, he has proven himself as a leader and brings a range of skills that are relevant to his new role.

Michael Conforti, Scientific Games' President, International, spoke about the importance of Homm's appointment in a statement, revealing that the executive will help the company strengthen its International Systems team.

Moreover, Conforti added: "His deep expertise, visionary leadership and commitment to fostering innovation will help us achieve our strategic goals as we continue to revolutionize omnichannel lottery systems technology for the next generation of lottery retailers and players."

Homm is a perfect fit for the new role

When he first joined Scientific Games, Homm helped oversee iLottery projects as well as efforts in the retail vertical.

This happened at a time when the company was already selected as a trusted partner of 80 lotteries across the globe, powering them with its innovative solutions.

Homm is recognized for his hands-on approach and provides strategic advice and guidance to the different teams.

Those exceptional skills and dedication complement Scientific Games' goal to deliver world-class experiences to iLottery, retail and betting operators across the globe.

Outside of the company, Homm held different senior-level roles with similar responsibilities.

Before joining Scientific Games, he was a part of Admiral Group for nearly a decade.

Overall, he spent eight years with the company, holding a range of important senior-level roles, including Head of Portal Engineering, among others.

The latest announcement comes after earlier this month, Scientific Games extended its deal with the Kentucky Lottery for 10 years.

The collaboration built upon the successful business relationship between the duo while reaffirming the strong position of Scientific Games as a go-to supplier to government-run lotteries.
