The trusted partner of more than 150 lotteries across the globe, Scientific Games (SG), strengthened its senior-level team with a new addition.

Gina Smith joins Scientific Games

The company has announced it hired Gina Smith, an executive with solid regulatory and licensing experience, to the role of Vice President, Lottery Enterprise Systems and Products.

In her new role, the exec is expected to provide strategic advice and guide the development of the company in the competitive gambling sector.

At the same time, the appointment reaffirms SG's commitment to investing in people and products.

Ultimately, by strengthening its C-suite and improving its products, the company anticipates delivering exceptional high-quality solutions for its growing portfolio of customers across the globe.

As Vice President, Lottery Enterprise Systems and Products, Smith will play a key role in SG's Lottery systems business.

She will help navigate the strategic business operations and teams.

The new VP, Lottery Enterprise Systems Products brings extensive real-world experience

Walt Eisele, SG's Chief Technology Officer, shared his excitement about the latest senior-level appointment in a statement.

"With an incredibly deep understanding of lottery enterprise applications and business operations, Gina brings relevant real-world experience supporting the expansion of our systems business and ensuring our platforms continue to meet the evolving needs of our lottery customers," he revealed.

Finally, Eisele pointed out: "We are excited to welcome her to our team."

The appointment comes after recently, SG agreed to add EQL Games to its content delivery platform.

Announced earlier this month, the collaboration saw SG expand its SG Content Hub Partner Program, bringing quality casino releases from EQL Games.

Smith leverages more than two decades of experience

Before becoming a part of the senior-level team at SG, Smith accumulated more than 20 years of experience.

As a proven leader with a track record, she helped navigate state lotteries through different challenges and was in charge of growth, security and financial activities.

Prior to joining SG, Smith served as a Deputy Executive Director at the Virginia Lottery's Gaming Compliance division.

During her tenure with the Lottery, she was in charge of licensing and regulation of betting and casino operators.

Moreover, Smith oversaw the launch of betting apps, gaming machines and the overall expansion of the market in Virginia.

Before her role with the Virginia Lottery, she held a number of key roles at the Maryland Lottery.

Overall, Smith was a part of the Maryland Lottery for 19 years, taking senior-level roles such as Deputy Director/Chief Financial Officer and Interim Director, among others.
