The globally recognized company that has a presence in more than 70 countries around the world, Hard Rock International (HRI), announced an important senior-level appointment. The company revealed it selected John Rees, a seasoned hospitality industry executive, for the role of Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations. Joining HRI, he brings extensive experience within the hospitality vertical.
In his new role, Rees will oversee the company's complete hotel operations. He will provide strategic guidance and support for Hard Rock's franchised venues as well as corporate-managed locations.
Overall, Rees has more than three decades of experience within the hospitality industry across the globe. As a proven leader with a track record, he was able to accumulate a wide range of skills and even tackle challenges in the sector.
A statement released by HRI reveals that Rees was delighted to become a part of the company's growing C-suite and play an important role in the future of its hotel operations. "Our future pipeline of hotel projects is very robust which will allow me to work with my teams to innovate and create more of the special brand touchpoints and guest experiences our fans expect," he added. Finally, Rees said: "My goal is to make Hard Rock Hotels feel like the coolest place to stay with the best vibe and where every guest around the world is made to feel like a VIP."
As HRI's new Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, Rees will report directly to the company's Chief Operating Officer, Jon Lucas. Speaking about the important appointment, Lucas said: "We're thrilled to have John lead the Hard Rock Hotel team as we continue to elevate our position as one of the world's most recognized global hospitality brands." Last but not least, he said about Rees: "His depth of experience guiding world-class luxury and lifestyle hotels paired with his results-driven leadership style makes John an invaluable addition to our company."
Before joining HRI, Rees most recently held the role of Vice President of Resort Operations and Guest Experience for Marriott Vacations Worldwide. At the time, he was in charge of overseeing the operations of more than 130 venues across the globe.
Initially, Rees' career within the hospitality industry started with an Executive Chef position. This enabled him to gain invaluable knowledge and demonstrate his leadership. Throughout his extensive international career, Rees held a wide range of senior-level roles, allowing him to gain significant experience.
