To some, Season 2 of House of the Dragon, HBO’s acclaimed and venerated Games of Thrones spin-off has been a snooze fest. To loyal fans of the franchise, it has been the best thing to grace the airwaves – or the streaming platform in this case.
Yet, things have just got better with Aristocrat Gaming, a developer of physical slot machines, cabinets, and terminals, confirming that a new House of the Dragon slot game will be coming after all, with the company offering details, but expecting the first copies to arrive on gaming floors by the end of the year.
The exact release date is still a moving target, but the game will be introduced to the world at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas due to take place in October. For House of the Dragon fans, the best thing to do would be to head to Aristocrat Gaming’s booth on the show’s exhibition floor.
As the show’s Season 2 finale approaches, the House of the Dragon slot game will be introduced into the King Max cabinet, one of Aristocrat’s flagship devices, offering fans of the show and slot gamers the chance to experience a beloved franchise in an exciting new way.
Aristocrat already has experience working on the franchise and incorporating branded elements into its games. Fittingly, the developer has struck a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and has developed the Game of Thrones slot game, taking this a step further with the spin-off game and show now.
Commenting on this opportunity, Aristocrat Gaming Hector Fernandez has welcomed the new opportunity and the chance to see his company take on another ambitious title in the industry.
He praised the House of the Dragon TV series for its record-setting viewership and assured that the thrill of the show will be captured in the upcoming House of the Dragon slot game.
"We are proud of the previous successes we've had bringing our Game of Thrones slot games to life, and we anticipate this new game to continue the excitement and appeal to an even larger audience," Fernandez noted.
Meanwhile, the Game of Thrones IP has been picked by other companies, too, including Scientific Games which has vowed to develop a number of lottery-based titles.
