The leading provider of gaming and entertainment experiences to guests and visitors of Las Vegas, Station Casinos, is giving back to its team members in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
Station Casinos’ milestone anniversary celebrations kicked off on July 1, unveiling the company’s new brand identity and engaging campaign called "From Vegas, For Vegas, Always Vegas."
The 50th anniversary celebration culminated with the company awarding more than $70m in Red Rock Resorts stock to its team members.
On Wednesday, Station Casinos confirmed that nearly 10,000 full time and part time employees were surprised by receiving more than $70m in Red Rock Resorts stock.
A surprise ceremony at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, led by Frank Fertitta III, Red Rock Resorts’ Chairman and CEO, along with Lorenzo Fertitta, Red Rock Resorts’ Vice Chairman, confirmed that all team members employed as of Wednesday, September 9, 2026, will receive $1,000 Class A stock in Red Rock Resorts.
The $1,000 Class A stock applies for every year of service and recognizes the outstanding dedication of the company’s employees.
Close to 10,000 current employees will receive stock, with shares being distributed starting from Monday, September 14, 2026.
The surprise award is a testament to Station Casinos’ dedication to its employees and highlights the dedication of long-term employees.
Notably, the company’s longest-tenured team member, Ida Johnson, started her career with the company in 1977 and is still part of the team. She will receive $49,000 worth of stock.
Overall, seven long-term team members, who have been part of the company since the 1970s’ will receive more than $45,000 worth of Class A stock in Red Rock equity each.
Lorenzo Fertitta, spoke about the recent surprise award ceremony, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"Our Team Members are at the heart of everything we do. For 50 years, they have built lasting relationships with our guests and forged the connections to the Las Vegas community that define who we are," he explained.
Fertitta added that the $70m award is more than just recognition but represents an investment in the company’s 10,000 employee workforce, who have proven their dedication.
Frank Fertitta III, added: "Our father founded this company on a few simple principles: serve the local community, deliver great value, and most importantly, take care of our Team Members."
In conclusion, he once again thanked Station Casinos’ employees.
