The former professional League of Legends (LoL) player, Meteos, whose real name is William Hartman, has joined the roster of experts at Riot Games.
On March 3, 2026, the former Cloud9 player confirmed via his personal account on X, formerly Twitter, that he joined Riot Games' Gameplay Analysis Team.
The 32-year-old former professional LoL player was appointed to the role of content creator for Cloud9 in August 2023.
While maintaining that role, he will also serve as a Gameplay Analysis Team member at Riot Games.
According to Meteos' announcement, he will give feedback and test games, playing a role in changes coming to LoL.
"Today was my first day on the Gameplay Analysis Team at Riot," Meteos wrote on X.
Moreover, the former professional player explained: "I’ll be playtesting and giving feedback for new changes coming to League. Excited to work with and learn from all the talented designers at Riot."
The Gameplay Analysis Team at Riot Games plays a major role in the development of games.
It includes developers, designers and testers, who focus on early playtesting upcoming changes such as the introduction of new items, champions, or changes affecting balance, among other things.
The work of that particular team is vital as it ensures updates to the game are balanced and fit well.
Crucially, the Gameplay Analysis Team provides vital feedback, tests how new content affects the gameplay and flags potential bugs or other issues.
Considering Meteos' lengthy professional career and passion for video games, he undoubtedly makes an excellent addition to Riot Games' roster of experts.
