SG:certified introduces new safer gambling courses with Dr Maris Catania

SG:certified, a company that focuses on building a robust platform that enables gambling, gaming, sports, and lottery companies improve their grasp of responsible gambling, has published 14 new courses created by Dr Maris Catania, the organization’s recently joined Safer Gambling Senior Consultant.

Dr Catania is a well-seasoned veteran who has worked for various companies across the industry and has had a data and research-driven approach towards tackling gambling problems, addiction, and harm. She also participated in the Casino Guru Awards 2023 as one of the judges.

The new courses are available to anyone interested right on SG:certified’s website and it is helpful to anyone who wishes to educate themselves about responsible gambling topics. Dr Catania has used her extensive knowledge of this aspect of the industry to provide relevant, up-to-date, and insightful information, owing to her extensive experience in the industry.

Dr Catania served as Head of Responsible Gambling and Research at Kindred Group since August 2019, and her LinkedIn profile says that she still collaborates with Kindred Group as a freelance consultant since January 2023.

The courses hosted at SG:certified’s website include a number of important and pressing topics, including the history of regulation, safer gambling practices, black market and safer gambling, interventions and messaging, the psychology of gambling disorder, safer gambling as a whole, and more.

All the courses are the result of Dr Catania’s painstaking work in the industry and her scientific approach to understanding the issue of gambling better. Responsible gambling training has been another important buzzword in the industry, with companies cognizant of the fact that they need to bring their own employees up to speed to better protect consumers.
