UAE’s lottery bolsters responsible gambling

The Game LLC, the authorized operator of the United Arab Emirates Lottery, has partnered up with Takalam, a pioneering company that leverages artificial intelligence to help improve the mental well-being of players as well as identify and support individuals at-risk or displaying signs of problem gambling behavior.

Takalam sets out to help UAE Lottery protect consumers

The partnership seeks to elevate and significantly strengthen the lottery’s ability to provide 360-degree responsible gambling tools and personalized aid in instances where players need it. Takalam seeks to help with behavioral challenges tied to excessive gambling, be that the lottery or any other form of wagering.

UAE Lottery Group Director for Responsible Gambling James Boyles had this to add: "We are proud to collaborate with Takalam to further our commitment to players’ well-being and responsible gaming. This partnership underscores our dedication to providing players with access to mental health resources and fostering a safe, supportive lottery environment for all."

The UAE Lottery is aware of the importance of promoting an environment in which players are protected, and at-risk individuals receive the help they need to prevent further harm. Among the arsenal that the lottery would now be able to leverage are such solutions as self-exclusion programs, awareness campaigns, and geo-fencing.

Delivering the tools necessary to beget player well-being

Takalam CEO and Founder Khawla Hammad was similarly pleased with the opportunity to see his company go ahead and collaborate with the UAE Lottery and answer its call to promote safer and responsible gambling practices, and also equip the operator with the tools necessary to enact better player protection measures.

"Takalam is committed to providing tools that proactively address mental health issues within various communities to create a healthier environment where mental health support is destigmatized and accessible," Hammad said.
