Fanatics Sportsbook has become the new official and exclusive sports betting partner for the National Football League (NFL). The news is yet to be confirmed officially by the partners, with the original report shared by Sports Business Journal.
Thanks to this deal, Fanatics Sportsbook will be able to use the customary signage by the NFL in its own activations, feature the league’s logo in promotional campaigns, and more. Other sportsbooks, such as DraftKings and FanDuel, may be looking for a similar partnership.
In other news, FanDuel and GeoComply have yet again extended their partnership, with the latter company providing the gaming firm with advanced compliance and fraud-prevention technology.
"GeoComply has been an important partner as we’ve built a platform our customers can trust. Our focus has always been on delivering a great customer experience while operating with the highest standards of integrity and compliance. We’re excited to continue working with GeoComply in the years ahead," FanDuel President Christian Genetski said.
BetMGM has debuted a new progressive jackpot feature, fittingly called Progressive SideBet Jackpots. Thanks to this new feature, players may participate in a tiered jackpot system that offers four distinct levels of pay, namely Mini, Minor, Major and Mega.
The feature is available through a sidebet where players need to pay an extra $0.10 while playing one of 200 eligible games. BetMGM’s new feature has launched in Michigan, and is likely to expand, both in terms of the available games as well as the states it is available in.
QuinnBet (Gibraltar) Limited, the operator of quinnbet dot com, has settled with the UK Gambling Commission for £609,104. The settlement reflects social and anti-money-laundering regulatory failures, with the regulator sharing details about the specific infringements committed by the operator.
Other than not responding on time over potential harmful behavior, the operator had allowed a player to place more than 4,800 bets in a single day, followed by another 7,000 on the following day.
In other instances, the operator also failed to conduct sufficient background checks regarding the source of funds used by players who placed "substantial amounts." The Gambling Commission called QuinnBet’s case an example for other operators not to commit the same mistakes.
In the meantime, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has added two more websites to its list of blocked domains. The action comes after the regulator investigated the websites and determined that they offered illegal games of chance, available to Australian customers.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced two lawsuits against operators of social sweepstakes casinos, arguing that they breach state laws and must stop offering their products locally.
The AG’s Office has taken action against Stake and VGW, with the latter operating multiple brands, including LuckyLand, Global Poker and Chumba Casino.
Two casinos in Australia received significant fines after a minor was able to enter their premises to gamble and, on some occasions, consume alcohol.
Confirmation about the monetary sanctions comes from the NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC).
Before the fines, Liquor and Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) initiated an investigation that looked into a potential breach involving a 16-year-old who gambled at two casinos.
Gamble-Pause, WorldGaming’s Safer Gaming Charity Partner, has announced a new major effort in strengthening responsible gambling and safe play in Africa.
The organization has launched a pan-African gambling block app, which allows consumers to exclude themselves for a minimum of one year from both licensed and offshore operators.
The app is available in 40 African languages and seeks to support gamblers not simply by limiting their access to websites but by similarly encouraging their recovery through social achievements and developing healthier financial habits.

The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has summarized the findings of several studies, taking a look at the gambling behaviors of young adults aged 18-24 and secondary vocational education and training students, who are usually minors.
The findings determined that 41% of newly opened gambling accounts belong to people aged 18, indicating that many new players are joining as soon as they legally can. However, about 28% of secondary vocational education and training students had participated in gambling - or had been exposed to gambling as well.
This could happen with the help of an adult, and the products that these minor students have experienced include bingo, scratch cards, and even slots.
