Mohegan INSPIRE to benefit from Light & Wonder games and technology

The cross-platform global games leader, Light & Wonder, announced a major agreement for the market in Asia. Earlier this week, the company confirmed it signed a deal to provide its portfolio of systems powered by innovative and comprehensive technology to the Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in South Korea.

Mohegan INSPIRE is about to become a unique entertainment and gaming destination for Northeast Asia. Set to open its doors at some point in the fourth quarter of 2023, once the resort introduces all of its amenities it is expected to be a premium entertainment location that offers a foreigner-only casino, 15,000-seat multi-purpose arena, as well as nearly 1,300 hotel rooms.

Additionally, Mohegan INSPIRE will feature plenty of outdoor and indoor attractions, as well as other amenities. The new luxury resort is located only an hour away from downtown Seoul and 10 minutes away from Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport, making it an easily accessible location for visitors.

Under the terms of the new partnership, Light & Wonder agreed to install its leading slot and electronic table games, a statement reveals. Considering that the company is a leader within the gambling market, its solutions and games are expected to help drive customer engagement and acquisition, delivering thrilling experiences for Mohegan INSPIRE customers.

Mohegan's COO, Jody Madigan, shared his excitement about the new collaboration with the cross-platform global games leader acknowledging that it "offers one of the most technologically advanced systems in the industry."

Additionally, he said: "Integrating Light & Wonder’s advanced solutions into the new property will be integral to the success of our operations and will allow us to obtain real-time insights to drive business." Finally, Madigan noted that the supreme technology and games will deliver benefits for the players at Mohegan INSPIRE.

Siobhan Lane, Light & Wonder's CEO of Gaming, was similarly excited about the freshly minted collaboration. She said: "A partnership with Mohegan INSPIRE offers a tremendous opportunity for Light & Wonder in the Asian market. INSPIRE will be an incredible all-new, state-of-the-art destination and we look forward to its historic debut."

Finally, Lane explained: "We couldn't be more proud to expand our existing relationship with Mohegan and continue to provide our robust portfolio to enable the highest level of efficiency for the resort, while also allowing guests to enjoy an unmatched player experience throughout the property."

The new collaboration comes on the heels of another important alliance announced by Light & Wonder. Early last month, the company confirmed it joined forces with ReelPlay, allowing it to deliver its content to British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).
