International Game Technology has confirmed that it is expanding in the state of Ohio through the deployment of its dedicated PlaySports tech offering. The solution is now live in the state which went live with regulated sports gambling on the New Year’s weekend on January 1 and posted robust results in the early hours of 2023.
IGT has teamed up with Green Bear Gaming Development LLC, which currently operates the UBetOhio brand, and which will benefit from the dedicated PlaySports QuickBet Kiosks, the company confirmed in a press release. This is only a first step for the two companies, as IGT will be further deploying its PlaySports Pads in the coming months, it confirmed.
PlaySports is a streamlined technology that allows betting fans to place their wagers quickly and reliably. The kiosk comes with a simplified user interface that makes it easy to bet on one’s favorite events with minimum traction. As to the PlaySports Pads, this solution applies to flat surfaces where an interactive screen is overlaid to bring sports fans closer to the betting action every step of the way.
