Hacksaw, a prominent developer of online games for casinos, has obtained a B2B supplier license from Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority. Thanks to this license, Hacksaw will be able to provide a number of its leading titles with regulated operators in the Swedish iGaming market.
Among the titles that the company wants to now bring to market are Hand of Anubis, Mines, Dork Unit, and Wanted Dead or a Wild, and many others. The supplier license also allows the company to dramatically increase its regional footprint and create fresh opportunities for its products as well as help partner operators significantly expand their clout with local audiences and player bases.
Hacksaw Gaming hails the new license as an important addition to the company’s impeccable track record of operating in some of the most demanding and regulation-heavy jurisdictions. Previously, Hacksaw Gaming has obtained licenses in Ontario, the United Kingdom, and it also operates under the Isle of Man and Maltese supplier permits that allow it to offer its products on a truly international scale.
The company was founded in 2018, but it has already been able to launch in more than 20 regulated markets globally. The company has trampolined onto the US market with Light & Wonder in West Virginia, and it has maintained its North American momentum with an Ontario rollout.
In Europe, the company is represented in the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Sweden. This new permit is obtained as part of Sweden’s new regulatory framework which came into effect on March 1, 2023, and expects all suppliers to tender anapplication for a B2B gaming license, as confirmed by Spelinspektionen.
Hacksaw Gaming was among the first to obtain a license and solidify its position in the market. The company chief executive, Marcus Cordes, said that moving fast was an important goal for Hacksaw Gaming which is among the first to secure this milestone.
"We’re now looking to ramp up our efforts in Sweden by securing partnerships with even more top-tier operators to expose our games to a wider audience," the executive said, as other companies have already obtained their licenses as well.
In the past weeks, companies such as EveryMatrix, Yggdrasil, and Relax Gaming, have all secured licenses in the country.
