The Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen) has awarded B2B supplier licenses to Relax Gaming and Yggdrasil, which will be allowed to and continue to bring their library of games to the highly-coveted European market.

Thanks to this approval, Relax Gaming will be able to offer a variety of its in-house and aggregator games, including excellent titles such as Money Train 3, Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop, and one of its latest releases Book of Power.

Welcoming this opportunity, Relax Gaming Head of Regulatory Compliance Rachel Winberg said that the company was thrilled to see Spelinspektionen give its approval to Relax and allow it to deploy its player-focused titles on the Nordic market.

"It is no secret that we place great emphasis on broadening our reach and take great pride in showcasing our content across established jurisdictions. We couldn’t be more pleased to be able to continue offering our quality games in a mature market like Sweden," Winberg said, welcoming the opportunity.

Yggdrasil was similarly thankful for the chance to receive this licensure and to continue providing its services in the country. In detailing its own permit, Yggdrasil thanked Spelinspektionen for voting it its trust.

Yggdrasil Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and General Counsel Petter Envall was happy to see the company meet the rigorous compliance standard set out by the watchdog. Envall said that Yggdrasil considered Sweden to be a critical priority for the company and welcomed the opportunity to obtain the new permit which has now been officially granted.

"Yggdrasil encourages other vendors to apply for this license and I would like to give praise to the Swedish Gambling Authority for a very simple and straightforward process for administrating these permits," Envall concluded, referring to the fact that any entity that wishes to retain its license in the country would need to reapply, as the first batch of permits is already expiring.

Spelinspektionen began accepting applications on March 1, with Yggdrasil and Relax Gaming amongst the first to be granted a license. This comes after new regulatory rules were issued by the regulator, which will come into effect on July 1, and which expect from any entity that wishes to operate in the country to comply.
