The multi-award-winning provider of technology, content and solutions, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), announced a groundbreaking deal with one of the most popular and long-standing names in UK Pools betting, The Football Pools (The Pools).
Details regarding the new activation emerged earlier this week with GiG confirming its intention to power the operator with its revolutionary sportsbook, SportsX.
In addition to granting The Pools access to its innovative sportsbook product, the company agreed to deliver CoreX, its leading iGaming platform.
The move comes at a time when The Pools anticipates further expansion and growth by leveraging GiG's exceptional solutions.
James Arnold, The Football Pools' CEO, shared his excitement about the new collaboration in a statement.
"I am delighted to be able to announce this transformational partnership with GiG, at such a pivotal moment in the history of both organizations," he revealed.
Arnold predicted that the leading technology and solutions supplied by GiG will help propel The Pools in a move that will represent the digital transformation of the famous brand.
Last but not least, the executive explained: "Myself and my team have enormous faith in the ability and expertise of the GiG team, and very much look forward to a successful and mutually beneficial partnership for the years to come."
Recognized as one of the long-standing names in UK Pools betting, The Pools is the new umbrella brand that covers the original "Football Pools" brand that has a history of more than 100 years in the UK.
The latest agreement with GiG will help strengthen the operator's offering.
In addition, a range of sports wagering, lotto and casino products will help elevate the excitement and deliver unique experiences for The Pools' customers.
Andrew Cochrane, GiG's Chief Business Officer, shared his excitement about the collaboration with The Pools.
"I am delighted that The Football Pools, a brand with such heritage in the UK market, have chosen GiG to power their ambitious online growth plans," he added.
Finally, Cochrane pointed out: "I'm extremely optimistic about the continued success of our strategy to increase our B2B market share in key regulated European markets."
The latest agreement marks the debut of GiG's X-suite for the market in the UK.
The expansion marks a strategic move for the company, especially considering its exponential potential.
Data from Statista reveals that the iGaming market in the UK is evaluated at £11.01bn (€12.80bn), second only to the one in the United States.
