The fast-growing sports media group that owns and operates sports media and sports communities around the globe, Better Collective, announced a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed Monday it hired the services of Terence Gargantini in an effort to further strengthen its presence and expand in South America. Joining Better Collective, he was appointed to the role of Country Director for Brazil.
Gargantini will play an important role in the company's growth in the region. Ultimately, he will focus on strengthening Better Collective's presence within the South American market by overseeing strategic processes and helping the company expand. The first task of the new Country Director for Brazil will be to participate along with Better Collective's team at the SIGMA conference in Sao Paulo.
Officially joining the company's team on June 15, Gargantini brings extensive knowledge within the sports vertical. He has a significant understanding of the sporting world within the South American region, while at the same time leveraging unique experience for the sector.
In a statement released by Better Collective, Gargantini commented: "I am very excited to join such a great company and tremendous individuals." Finally, he explained: "I have much exciting work ahead of me in trying to help lead Better Collective's South American strategy and operations as well as collaborating on business development efforts in order to continue entry into the legal iGaming market in South America, and to enhance Better Collective's foothold in this exciting region."
Before joining the company, Gargantini collaborated with the Brazilian National football team, as well as other regional federations, including Corinthians and Flamengo. Throughout his extensive career within the sports vertical, he worked with famous South American athletes and clubs, allowing him to accumulate significant knowledge and insight. This unique experience, according to Better Collective, makes Gargantini a "versatile asset" for the company.
Simon Hovmand-Stilling, Better Collective South America's CEO, welcomed Gargantini to the company's C-suite. "With a keen eye for identifying mutually beneficial partnerships and having a large local network and experience, we know that Gargantini can play an important role in solidifying Better Collective's South American presence," he said. Finally, Hovmand-Stilling explained that the local presence and approach for Better Collective in South America are incredibly important.
Gargantini's career includes different senior-level roles with sports-related companies. Before joining Better Collective, he served at the global leading multi-sports streaming platform that is a part of DAZN Group, ElevenSports.com. At the time, Gargantini held the role of Country Director. His professional tenure includes a Business Development Director role at the leading video platform solution for influencers and content creators, FanHero.
