A lucky woman in Australia was pleasantly surprised by a life-enhancing million-dollar win.
The South Morang woman, who chose to remain anonymous, won AU$1m ($651,700) from a recent Weekday Windfall drawing, The Lott announced Monday.
The lucky winner holds one out of a total of two division one winning entries from the game's draw 4590 on Monday, August 25, 2025.
That Weekday Windfall drawing saw winning numbers 6, 4, 10, 37, 23 and 41 drawn along with supplementary numbers 11 and 36.
Besides the winning entry held by the Victoria resident, another division one winner came from Queensland.
Each entry is looking forward to a sweet AU$1m ($651,700) prize.
Weekday Windfall players can win prizes starting from a few bucks up to a top prize of AU$1m ($651,700).
The game's drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday after 7:30 PM AEST.
To score a division one winning entry, players need to match six numbers in a single game panel with the six winning numbers from the particular draw.
Tickets for Weekday Windfall are available via The Lott's official App, online or via retail outlets across the country.
The winning entry of the South Morang woman wasn't registered with The Lott Members Club.
This means the Lottery had no way to contact the winner and notify her about their newfound fortune.
The lucky woman admitted that whenever she buys lottery tickets, she usually misplaces them for a few days before checking them.
That was also the case with her latest Weekday Windfall entry.
In an interview for The Lott, the woman said: "I was feeling so upset yesterday, and little did I know, I had won the lottery!"
Moreover, the winner pointed out: "It was one of those days. I didn’t want to get out of bed, but I got up and made myself a coffee. That’s when I remembered I had a Lotto ticket, but I couldn’t remember where on earth I’d put it."
Searching for the ticket once more, she found it under some cards and once she checked it, the woman couldn't believe she won the game's top prize.
The winner admitted that she usually buys tickets from retail shops.
"Now I know why you guys are always saying to register your tickets. I guess I just never thought it would actually happen," she added.
Asked about her plans for her newfound fortune, the South Morang resident said that she will use the lottery winnings for "realistic stuff."
