Aussie couple in shock after life-changing AU$1m Saturday X Lotto win

An incredibly lucky couple from South Australia is already planning how to spend their newfound fortune after scoring a life-changing million-dollar prize.

On Monday, The Lott uncovered details regarding the lucky Normanville couple, who hold one out of several Saturday X Lotto division one winning entries.

Six division one winning entries award AU$1m each

The game's draw 4601 on Saturday, August 23, 2025, saw the winning numbers 44, 28, 10, 45, 2 and 33 drawn. The supplementary numbers from that drawing were 8 and 26.

Lucky for the couple, who purchased their ticket at Normanville Pharmacy, 85 Main Street, Normanville, they hold one out of a total of six division one winning entries.

Each Saturday X Lotto division one winning entry from draw 4601 is entitled to a sweet prize of AU$1,055,540.64.

Besides the winning entry of the South Australian couple, there was one more division one winning entry from Queensland, as well as two each in Western Australia and New South Wales.

The winners are yet to plan how to spend their newfound fortune

In an interview for a lottery official, the wife thanked the lottery for the life-changing prize.

"It’s a little bit surreal but very exciting. I just can’t switch my brain off. I haven’t been able to sleep at all," the incredibly excited woman, whose name wasn't publicly revealed, said.

The lucky woman admitted to checking the lottery ticket online when seeing the huge prize. At the time, she thought that she had put in the wrong number and decided to check it again.

Moreover, the lucky winner said: "It’s funny, I’m still in the shocked stage, rather than the excited stage, but now that I’m speaking to you, I think it’s starting to sink in a bit!"

The incredibly lucky couple now faces a difficult decision: how to spend their newfound fortune.

The woman admitted to having "1000 thoughts swimming" in her mind, but at the same time, she said she isn't ready to "make any concrete decisions."

"I’m a bit of a list person, so I’m going to start one of those and just get all my thoughts out of my head and on paper," said the fortunate woman.

Finally, the winner acknowledged that she was really happy with the win and said the lottery prize is completely life-changing for her and her husband.
