Michigan lottery player wins $300K from instant game

The New Year brought fortune to one lottery player in Michigan, who tried her luck with a $5 instant game and won a hefty prize.

Wayne County woman takes home $300K from Wild Time Bingo

On Thursday, the Michigan Lottery confirmed that a 59-year-old woman from Wayne County scored one of the top prizes from its Wild Time Bingo instant game.

The incredibly lucky lottery player decided to remain anonymous.

While her identity will likely forever remain a mystery, the Lottery confirmed that she purchased her ticket at Tweeny’s Paradise Liquor on 32669 Warren Road in Garden City.

Recently, the 59-year-old woman visited the Lottery headquarters to collect her sweet $300,000 prize.

When asked if she has plans about the win from the Wild Time Bingo instant game, the Wayne County woman admitted that she wants to save it.

Recalling the day she purchased the ticket that brought her the big win, the winner said: "I scratched my Wild Time Bingo ticket right after purchasing it and saw what I thought was a $300,000 prize."

The woman wasn't sure that she had scored the massive win which is why she scanned the ticket.

Once she received a message asking her to visit the Michigan Lottery headquarters, the fortunate woman was sure that she scored one of the game's top prizes.

"I went back out to my car, locked the doors, and just sat there for a while basking in the excitement. I couldn’t believe I’d really won $300,000," the Wayne County woman explained.

Wild Time Bingo offers a range of prizes

With a price tag of $5 per play, Wild Time Bingo offers players a chance to win prizes between $5 and $300,000.

At the launch of the instant game, a total of three top prizes were up for grabs.

However, after the latest win, only two $300,000 top prizes remain in play.

A tier-two prize from the Wild Time Bingo instant game awards $10,000.

Initially, the game offered 10 tier-two prizes of $10,000 each, but now only four remain up for grabs.

The overall chances of winning any prize from Wild Time Bingo are 1 in 3.93.
