Stake.com, one of the world’s best-known sports betting and casino operators and brands, has secured an important milestone in its latest groundbreaking move in Latin America, with the company purchasing Betfair Colombia, a subsidiary to the established British betting company, Casino Guru News learned in an email press release.

Through Betfair Colombia, and its local license, Stake will operate in the country until 2025, the press statement clarified. Stake uses this opportunity to achieve two goals. On the one hand, it’s seeking to consolidate its presence in more geographies, on the other – it will leverage the Betfair Colombia infrastructure to help the Stake brand unfold its product and offer across the Latin American region.

Chief Strategy Officer at Easygo, Brais Pena, has welcomed this excellent opportunity and the strategic significance of the acquisition. Pena added:

"Colombia's position as the first regulated market in Latin America, coupled with its stable environment and robust entertainment industry, makes it an ideal destination for Stake's expansion."

The executive confirmed that Stake will seek to dominate the local market and establish its presence in the region. Easygo is what is described as the "powerhouse" behind the Stake brand. Stake is in a good position to provide local crowds with cutting-edge experiences that are based on some of the most innovative solutions in the vertical.

Stake has also been quickly growing its awareness and footprint in the region, even prior to its physical entry through a dedicated betting division. The company is the Official Betting Partner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship in Latin America, and it also works with prominent local stars, such as Kun Aguero, an Argentinian soccer ace.

Not least, Stake is also working with rapper Drake who is frequently using the Stake platform for gaming and betting fun and recreation. Stake is confident that the purchase of Betfair Colombia provides it with a very strong footing in the fast-expanding and promising gaming market in Latin America and beyond. Stake is determined to continue building up its local presence and go well beyond that.

"We are committed to contributing positively to the local economy, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional entertainment value to our customers," Pena added. Stake has become a prominent name in the gaming industry, with the brand entering some of the heaviest regulated jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, and consolidating its status as a trusted, reliable, and preferred gaming option.
