Light & Wonder, a global distributor and developer of online casino content and platforms, has been tapped by PENN Entertainment Inc. to provide the operator’s Hollywood Casino at Greektown with exclusive branded live dealer games, Casino Guru News learned in an email press release.
The games will be available at the Hollywood Casino in Michigan and broadcast to registered players of the legal gambling age in the state. Among the titles that Hollywood Casino will get this way are such blockbusters as Lucky Cat Baccarat, a revamped game by Penn Game Studios which is receiving a fresh lease of life in the live dealer portfolio.
Light & Wonder offers highly customizable titles that have struck home with players and operators, bringing such options as SHUFFLE MASTER Side Bets and SHUFFLESTAR, PayMeNow, Continuous Shuffler and more.
The partnership marks an important step for PENN as the company seeks to differentiate its offer and continue to strengthen its operations in the Great Lakes State and its overall North American footprint.
Company VP of Operations at Penn Interactive, Jason Birney, has welcomed the opportunity to establish this close collaboration with the company in Michigan and the addition of fresh live dealer games that will further enhance the online casino’s overall quality and portfolio. Birney was confident that the Hollywood Casino platform would benefit as a result.
"We are pleased to partner with Light & Wonder to launch these bespoke gaming options for our customers in Michigan," Birney added.
Light & Wonder VP Commercial & Managing Director Dana Jackel was similarly pleased about the opportunity and said that her company was excited to be launching with the Hollywood Casino Brand, giving Light & Wonder a further boost in the North American market.
"We believe PENN Entertainment’s players will love our feature-packed live dealer casino portfolio, and we look forward to enjoying mutual success in Michigan and beyond," Jackel said.
In the meantime, the rumor mill has been running that Boyd Gaming has been looking to potentially buy out Penn Entertainment which has come under heavy criticism over the Barstool Sportsbook sale, and the subsequent shift to ESPN Bet, which has proven underwhelming.
Penn Entertainment’s stock has rallied slightly this year and trades at $19.27 at closing time on Tuesday, August 28.
