The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has shared positive results from its December overview of the iGaming and commercial industry in the state, taking the opportunity to reveal annual data as well as the monthly update.
In terms of casino win, the nine casino hotels in Atlantic City generated $216.1m in December 2025, marking a decrease of 6.7% from December 2024. For the full year, however, the casino win had increased by 2.7%, to a total of $2.89bn, setting a positive outlook for the new year as well.
Internet gaming win was another key metric reported by the regulator in the January 16 update, with the NJDGE presenting $273.2m generated by iGaming casinos in December 2025, or a 19.8% growth from December 2024 - a very strong uptake.
Commenting on these results, New Jersey Casino Control Commission Chairman Jim Plousis said: "Internet gaming win set a monthly record in December and, for the first time, annual internet gaming win exceeded in-person casino win. Atlantic City’s annual casino win grew 2.7% compared to 2024, achieving its best result since 2012 – demonstrating that in-person and online gaming can succeed together."
For the full year, internet gaming win stood at $2.91bn in 2025, up 22% from the $2.39bn reported in 2024. Notably, sports wagering has surged ahead. The sports wagering gross revenue for casinos, racetracks, and partners hit $116.3m in December, marking a 85% jump from December 2024.
The full-year results stood at $1.18bn in 2025, an increase of 7.5% compared to the full-year results of 2024 - $1.09bn.
"A successful gaming industry benefits all of New Jersey. It has sparked investment in Atlantic City’s convention, tourism, and entertainment centers, creating jobs and producing new economic activity across South Jersey," Plousis wrapped up.
