Mohegan strengthens PR team by announcing two appointments

The globally recognized gaming and entertainment brand that is formerly known as Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, Mohegan, announced two senior-level appointments. The company confirmed that it selected Charisse Huff for the role of Public Relations Manager, while at the same time promoting Cody Chapman to the position of Public Relations Director.

In their new roles, the duo is expected to help with the external communication for Mohegan, a statement reveals. At the same time, Huff and Chapman will oversee the media relations for properties of the company within the Northeast such as Mohegan Sun. Besides supporting Mohegan's media relations, the duo will play an important role by supporting the PR for the company's iGaming division, Mohegan Digital.

Currently, the PR team of Mohegan is led by Jennifer Ballester, who serves as VP of Corporate Communications. Ballester has extensive experience and is undoubtedly an industry veteran, considering that she first joined Mohegan back in 1996 when Mohegan Sun opened.

Huff graduated from the University of Hartford, while Chapman graduated from Central Connecticut State University. Both Huff and Chapman have played important roles in the last two years and helped in the organization of Mohegan Sun's 25th Anniversary. Moreover, the duo played an important role in the launch of the Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook, as well as the opening of the TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge.

In her role as Public Relations Manager, Huff will oversee the company's daily PR activities. At the same time, she will be in charge of strategic announcements and events for the company's properties in Pennsylvania, Atlantic City, as well as its flagship venue, Mohegan Sun.

It was back in 2018 when Huff first became a part of Mohegan Sun. It wasn't long before she proved herself and became an invaluable asset within the company's Marketing and Communications department. She held the role of PR Specialist before being promoted in 2021 to the position of Communications Manager.

On the other hand, as Public Relations Director, Chapman will oversee the work of the PR team and provide strategic guidance. He will play a key role in developing strategic goals for the company and collaborate with the senior leadership at Mohegan Sun.

Chapman first joined Mohegan more than a decade ago, back in 2007. He started his career as PR Specialist for Mohegan Sun, but he was later appointed to the role of Sports and Entertainment Specialist. During his tenure for more than a decade, Chapman was able to accumulate significant knowledge which makes him an invaluable addition to Mohegan's PR team.
