The fast-growing gaming solutions provider, INTRALOT, announced it expanded its presence in North America by announcing a new partnership. The company confirmed last week that its US-facing subsidiary, INTRALOT Inc, forged a new deal with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), a Crown corporation that manages and conducts retail and online gambling.

Under the terms of the new deal, INTRALOT agreed to supply the Corporation with INTRALOT Orion, the company's next-gen sports betting platform. Additionally, the BCLC will benefit from other relevant managed services that are going to power the management, as well as operations of its retail sportsbook.

Per the terms of the new 3-year contract, INTRALOT's retail sports betting solution will be offered and deployed for BCLC's entire retail network. Besides the three-year term of the deal, the duo also has the option to extend their partnership on an annual basis for three years.

According to a statement released by INTRALOT, the launch of the technology will be facilitated via GameStation self-service terminals, as well as the company's Photon X retail terminals. The innovative technology, powering lottery and sports offerings, the company said, is expected to arrive on the market in British Columbia at some point this year.

Nikos Nikolakopoulos, INTRALOT Inc's Chairman of the Board of Directors, was excited about the new partnership with the BCLC. He said: "We are excited to extend our partnership with BCLC in the sports betting sector."

Finally, Nikolakopoulos noted: "We are looking forward to a close cooperation with the Lottery in order to provide an enhanced retail player experience and responsibly drive the Lottery's growth to further benefit the British Columbia community."

The new deal will bring further benefits for BCLC. This is because the technology will enable INTRALOT's Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solution. This unique solution delivers efficiencies and convenience for the users as it allows them to "view the full betting offering, prepare their digital bet slips, and generate a QR code from anywhere before scanning them at a retail terminal or self-service terminal."

Once INTRALOT launches the technology for the BCLC, it will be available for more than 700 self-service terminals or kiosks. Moreover, the technology will power the operation of 3,400 clerk-operated terminals in British Columbia.

Recently, INTRALOT strengthened its US subsidiary by appointing Nikolakopoulos as its new CEO. Becoming a part of the company's C-suite was a strategic move, considering his extensive experience with INTRALOT. Overall, Nikolakopoulos was a part of INTRALOT for nearly two decades and leverages significant knowledge and understanding of the industry.
