An official look at the GiG office.

Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) has inked a fresh agreement with the US-based sports betting platform and brand, Crab Sports. As a result, GiG will seek to empower the gaming and betting experience at Crab Sports with its own proprietary technology. The Platform and Sportsbook solution supplied by GiG will be used by Crab Sports in Maryland.

This represents the first opportunity for GiG and Sportnco to expand their reach in the US market together. GiG applied Sportnco in order to add to its own development capabilities and the partnership with Crab Sports will now serve as a test of whether this acquisition has paid off. Crab Sports will receive access to a number of advanced solutions championed by GiG, including access to leading industry technology and flexible architecture.

The company will further benefit from an optimized CMS platform and access to the Sportnco Sportsbook. The full technological stack will enable Crab Sports to expand its reach in online gaming and achieve local successes in Maryland and the United States as a whole. Crab Sports has at least 20 years of experience in the online gaming space. Turning to GiG for additional technological guidance, the brand believes it can further strengthen its position and innovate its own product portfolio.

GiG CEO Richard Brown commented on the partnership opportunity and said that he could see the potential of Crab Sports and their trusted team in the Maryland market. "We look forward to working closely with the Crab Sports team to maximize their potential through a successful launch. This is a proud moment for us and highlights the faith we have in the synergies between GiG and Sportnco," the executive added.

Brown assured that GiG is all behind Crab Sports in helping it achieve better recognition in the highly-contested sports betting market. The move is preemptive and comes ahead of an expected market launch in Maryland.

The market is set to send big ripples across the US betting space. Maryland should be able to drive in as much as $217m in gambling revenue from sports in the first year. Crab Sports and GiG both want to make sure that their products are visible in the local market and generated some of the biggest profit margins.

As the market matures, so will GiG and Crab act together to adjust their offer and attract more betting handle and action using the unique proposition they have jointly decided to deliver in the state.
