FanDuel, a leader in sports betting and iGaming in the United States and North America, has teamed up with Prove Identity, Inc. a company that specializes in the verification of consumer identity and offers companies a sure-fire way to safeguard against identity fraud. FanDuel will benefit from this partnership in providing consumers with an even safer option when it comes to verifying who they are and ensuring that identity fraud is eliminated.

FanDuel is happy to work with Prove and leverage the latter’s Pre-Fill solution which will auto-fill online applications with bank-grade data from authoritative sources. This will help achieve several things. First, FanDuel will have the opportunity to verify the identity of each consumer and stop fraudulent registration attempts in the tracks.

"Partnering with Prove to use their Pre-Fill solution will help us protect our customers while making our signup process a more seamless experience," said Prove Director of Digital Identity and Head of Sports Betting and iGaming Tom Hill. According to Prove, the solution that it deploys allows companies to make the account opening processes 80% faster.

Consumers can be onboard as fast as in three clicks. Hill points out to other benefits of the solution, such as quickly migrating users through the verification process and making its products accessible to players who have had their identity verified only. FanDuel SVP of Product, Billy Turchin, has also commented on what he considers to be an important milestone for the company in ensuring that consumers have a safe experience they can trust.

He argued that the signup process would now become more seamless while also ensuring that consumers can have quick access to the company’s ample selection of products. Prove offers its services to more than 1,000 businesses globally. Now, the company is expanding into the iGaming sector, which has been developing very quickly over the past several years.

This has necessitated operators to address certain risks of increasing fraud as many hackers turn and try to target various companies in the sector to obtain consumer data. Specialists like Prove and GeoComply, a geolocation and anti-fraud specialist, have been working hard to protect businesses and provide them with the tools they need to ensure that consumers are always safe.
