Betsson Group is fast preparing for hitting the Peruvian iGaming market running, with the company now obtaining a multitude of licenses covering its online casino and sports betting operations for both the Betsafe and Betsson brands.
More licenses are also coming, Betsson informed in an official press statement published on its website. As Betsson has been building its presence in the Latin American market since 2008, the company’s latest move in Peru is a logical continuation of decades of hard work regionally.
Betsson Group has also been expanding rapidly in terms of mergers and acquisitions strategy locally to ensure that its brands remain recognizable names not just in Latin American as a whole, but also in Peru, with specific Peruvian-facing assets and businesses.
Speaking of the group’s wider regional footprint, the company is in no shortage of strong positions locally. Presently, Betsson’s brands have licenses to operate in Colombia and Argentina, including the Provinces of Córdoba and Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires City, the capital of Argentina, is also covered.
This rather fragmented approach of entering some of the most important jurisdictions in the Latin American market have not scared Betsson Group away from the market, which it has continued to harness continuously throughout the years with the ultimate goal being of firmly positioning the group and its brands regionally.
Speaking about the new opportunities that the company now had ahead of itself, Betsson AB CEO and President Pontus Lindwall had this to add:
"We have really looked forward to Peru introducing a local regulation and are very pleased with the issuing of these licenses. With this announcement, we affirm our commitment to the local economy and the new regulatory framework in the country."
In the meantime, Betsson Group has been growing its international operations with a similar zeal and fervor. The company added the eponymous Betsson brand to the list of Italian operations in March this year.
The company has also been actively looking to build a proposition that is outside of the box and introduce more exciting markets that may appeal to younger generations. Among those is esports, which the company recently enhanced with the introduction of Oddin.gg.
Betsson similarly tapped Future Anthem, a personalization specialist which tailors products to the needs of specific audiences and customers.
