Q: You have now completed two iGaming Club London gatherings, coming full circle. Are you happy with how far the event has come in the space of a single year?
To say that we are happy with the turnout of the iGaming Club events in general would be an understatement. This has been an incredible journey for us as a company that ventured into something offline and not really in its niche of operations. Nonetheless, I think the demand that we got after the first event that we organized really pushed us to test our limits and try going bolder. We are more than confident in the steps that we’re taking now, primarily because we have an army of delegates who are ready and set to join us and broaden their network within the community that we’ve created.
Q: Heading into Malaga, Spain in May, what are your expectations for the event, and how would you track progress? Is it just the number of attendees or is there something else you specifically look for?
The number of attendees is definitely an indication of how much we’ve grown since we’ve embarked on this venture on its own. But we also put heavy emphasis on the quality of the organized event. iGaming Club Conference is by far the biggest adventure/challenge we’ve set ourselves to tackle. We cannot grow if we’re staying in our comfort zone and repeating the same game-plan, strategy that we’ve been applying to it before. We needed a challenge, and we went for it.
To give your readers an idea - we’re expecting around 800 delegates from different companies – top affiliates, operators, B2Bs. Booth zones, speed-dating sessions, dedicated networking zones will be available during the conference as well. And of course, we’re going to spice things up by organizing various panel discussions on the most burning topics of 2024 and so much more!!
Q: What has been the biggest change in the affiliate industry since you started hosting the iGaming Club, and will Malaga do things differently in light of these changes?
Honestly speaking, in terms of iGaming affiliate events there hasn’t been much. The two major events remain IGB London and Amsterdam until now. Other than those 2 wonderful shows, there is no niche event dedicated to iGaming affiliates only. There are much larger conferences that have affiliate zones, but those are not niche events. And as always, we are trying to fill in a gap. We don’t really aim to become a huge expo any time soon, our goal is to create a space for our affiliates and operators to do some quality networking and discuss business.
Q: You are also hosting the AffPapa iGaming Award ceremony as part of Conference Malaga. Can you tell us a bit more about it already?
Yes, with outmost pleasure. So, as you already know this is going to be the 3rd AffPapa iGaming Awards that we’re organizing. As of now the registration is open for all those who are interested in being nominated and engaging in a fun and fair competition. First and foremost, we want to give our partners the platform to shine, to be acknowledged for all the hard work that they’ve put it. And who doesn’t like to have fun on the side? I associate our Awards ceremonies with 3 BIG Cs - celebration, community, and cognac. We have more registrations than we’ve ever had so far and are expecting as great of a show as the participating companies are.
Q: What are your plans after Conference Malaga or is it too early to tell?
There’s no such thing as too early for AffPapa. We have two other iGaming Club events lined up for 2024 so far – Amsterdam and Lisbon being on the forefront, but of course we much rather tackle one thing at a time, so everything is done in a true AffPapa-style. I’d recommend checking our website – AffPapa.com as well as our socials to be in the loop of all the new announcements and updates. See you all in Malaga, Spain very soon!
