Gambling operators across the globe dedicate time and resources to sustainable growth. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives are now part of the growth strategies of recognizable gaming giants and many companies have committed to sustainable expansion.

Zitro, the leading supplier of video slots and video bingo games, is the latest company within the gambling sector to make an important move toward ESG and sustainable growth with the development of new committees and specialized teams.

As announced in a statement released by the company Thursday, it has created an ESG Corporate Committee and an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) department. Moreover, Zitro confirmed it developed a department for Integrated Management Systems (IMS).

According to the leading gaming company, the combined efforts of the newly developed teams are expected to play a key role in its transformation to a more sustainable business model.

Johnny Viveiros Ortiz, Zitro's Founder, shared his excitement on the topic.

"We are proud to launch these initiatives as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability," he revealed.

Additionally, Ortiz pointed out: "With the establishment of the ESG Corporate Committee and the dedicated departments, we are poised to lead by example in our industry, driving meaningful change towards a more sustainable future."

The company remains committed to a sustainable future

The establishment of the teams marks a major part of Zitro's plan for a sustainable future. In addition to their creation, the company disclosed details on how they are expected to effectively collaborate to achieve the business transformation.

For example, the ESG Committee will oversee Zitro's sustainability practices integration with a particular focus on environmental responsibility, social impact and governance.

On the other hand, the EHS division will be in charge of concerns related to the environment, health and safety, just as its name suggests. At the same time, the department will promote "sustainable practices, as well as social responsibility initiatives and circularity principles," as explained by Zitro.

There will be a total of four different sub-departments under the company's new Integrated Management System (IMS). The list includes the ISO Standards Management Office (IMO), the Project Management Office (PMO), the Climate Change Office (CCO) and the Jira Customization Office (JCO).

The sub-departments will effectively collaborate and oversee strategic objectives.

Earlier this month, Zitro announced it signed a new agreement with the leading Spanish land-based operator, Grupo Trébol.

The deal saw the company agree to deliver its fan-favorite game, Fu Frog.
