The leading gaming, hospitality and entertainment company, Wynn Resorts, released its Corporate Responsibility Review and 2023 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, highlighting a number of achievements it completed throughout last year for key environmental and sustainability initiatives. On Monday, the company disclosed details regarding the two reports, showcasing its dedication toward sustainable practices and philanthropic efforts across the globe. Wynn Resorts, following its Our People, Our Communities, and Our Planet pillars, announced that it was able to accomplish a number of ESG objectives.

Notably, employees of the leading gaming and hospitality operator donated more than $1 million to the Wynn Resorts Foundation. The donations were completed through fundraising efforts and direct distributions. According to Wynn Resorts, 2023 marked the highest fundraising year in its history.

Overall, Wynn Resorts helped raise nearly $9 million in donations to charitable organizations around North America. In addition to monetary contributions, company employees helped with 35,000 hours of voluntary and complimentary labor. Considering those results, it's no surprise that Wynn Resorts was recognized by Forbes as one of the Best Brands For Social Impact in 2023.

Further important achievements included Wynn Resorts' dedication to renewable energy. Across North America, the company's resorts are powered by 29% renewable energy, an effort that seeks to take the company closer to its goal of becoming Net-Zero by 2050.

According to Wynn Resorts' latest reports, throughout 2023, it focused on the humane care of animals. A statement released by the company confirmed that it considers the welfare and care of animals "a priority throughout its supply chain." Such efforts include engaging with suppliers and vendors that demonstrate responsible practices in animal care. As an example, Wynn Resorts pointed out that 100% of the eggs for its US resorts were sourced from cage-free suppliers last year.

Another important achievement announced by the gaming and hospitality company involves the amount of recycled waste. Last year, Wynn Resorts was able to divert 41% of its resort waste from landfills, which set a new waste diversion record. This was completed by trained company employees who were dedicated to hand-separate compost, reusables and recycling materials from landfill materials.

Craig S. Billings, Wynn Resorts' CEO, shared his excitement about the latest Corporate Responsibility Review and ESG Report. "If you look at our Core Values and Behaviors in this report, you will see that the ideals of caring for people, fair treatment, taking personal responsibility, and driving ongoing improvement are built into who we are," he explained. "Those values, in turn, influence who we hire, and that makes all the difference in a business like ours," said Billings in conclusion.
