The global gaming and entertainment company, Kindred Group, announced that its flagship brand, Unibet, renewed its partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL) in Sweden.

Unibet grows further its position thanks to the new deal

On Tuesday, the company confirmed that Unibet entered into a multi-year renewal partnership with the NHL, further solidifying its presence in the European country.

Under the terms of the new multi-year collaboration, Unibet will retain its position as an Official Partner of the League.

The collaboration will help the NHL continue to connect with fans across the country, while at the same time attracting bettors to ice hockey.

Not unexpectedly, the collaboration between the NHL and Unibet will deliver engaging experiences for ice hockey fans.

Such will include customized content, along with unique ice hockey betting experiences for customers across Sweden.

At the same time, Kindred's flagship brand will benefit from digitally enhanced dashboards (DEDs) and different marketing rights in the country, raising awareness of Unibet and helping the brand engage with new customers.

The duo expects the collaboration will bring success

John Lewicki, NHL's Vice President of NHL Business Development and Partnerships International, shared his excitement on the topic in a press release.

"Unibet has been a dedicated partner in helping us increase our engagement with passionate hockey fans in Sweden," he revealed.

Moreover, Lewicki added that the NHL is delighted to renew its successful partnership with Unibet.

Finally, the executive admitted that the League is looking forward to the success the renewed partnership would bring.

Philip Lagström, Kindred Group Sweden's General Manager, was just as thrilled about the recently renewed collaboration with the NHL in Sweden.

He explained that by joining forces, the duo would engage with the fans easier than before.

"This season will be pivotal for ice hockey in Sweden, with the NHL bringing back its international hockey events and the 2025 IIHF World Championship being hosted by Sweden and Denmark," added Lagström.

Last but not least, the General Manager outlined: "We anticipate heightened fan interest, and we're thrilled to be part of this journey."

Recently, Octoplay confirmed it secured an important content alliance with Kindred Group.

Announced back in August, the collaboration saw the former company expand the reach of its content in a number of important markets, including Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK.

The collaboration saw Octoplay deliver a dozen games for Kindred Group, powering its offering in those important markets.
