Super Technologies, formerly known as Superbet Group, announced its plans to acquire the software development company based in the Cluj-Napoca area in Romania, Crafting Technologies.
Acquiring Crafting Technologies, Super Technologies (Super) considers developing its first dedicated technology hub in Romania.
This milestone accomplishment would complement the company's development network which consists of hubs in the Netherlands, the UK, Brazil, as well as Spain and Croatia.
While Super confirmed its plans to acquire Crafting Technologies, financial details regarding the takeover were not made public.
At the same time, the deal remains subject to relevant approvals, a press release reveals.
Super's expansion to Cluj-Napoca includes the creation of 50 new roles initially and the integration of Crafting Technologies' engineering team into its wider business.
Currently, the company has more than 900 software engineers and developers working at its existing technology centers.
What's more, Super's acquisition of Crafting Technologies includes the latter's internal talent academy, which is a dedicated program to developing engineers and upgrading the skills of existing engineers.
Ultimately, this internal talent academy is expected to play a major role in the long-term development and growth of Super.
Gabriel Bota, Crafting Technologies' Co-Founder and CEO, commented: "We already share a strong technical connection, and also a very similar way of thinking about ownership, speed, and building reliable technology that can scale over time."
He added that in the last decade, the company has developed and grown a strong, trusted and experienced engineering team, positioning it well for long-term partnerships.
Albert Simsensohn, Super's Deputy Chief Executive, was similarly delighted with the new collaboration.
"Romania’s mature and competitive technology ecosystem provides access to specialized engineering capabilities essential for Super’s future roadmap," he said.
"The city of Cluj-Napoca offers a vibrant environment of innovation combined with operational efficiency and proximity to our regional hubs," Simsensohn said in conclusion.
