Marker Trax, a leader in cashless payment solutions for the gambling industry, has appointed industry veteran John Henderson as its new Senior Vice President of Operations. The appointment comes at a time when the company has been enjoying strong growth and sustained interest in its products that have been deployed with major casinos in multiple jurisdictions.

This is partly because of the realization of how convenient, and in-demand cashless payments are and the land-based casino’s decision to pursue and adopt the technology. In his new position, Henderson will play a critical role in the execution of strategic efforts as well as planning part of the company’s core strategies. Henderson himself has held various positions at many established hospitality and gaming giants, including MGM Resorts, Wynn, RoyalCaribbean, and others.

He will engage and work on various operator and customer initiatives as the executive seeks to help the company meet growth and production targets, as well as ensure robust quality standards.

Commenting on this new appointment, Marker Trax President Charlie Skinner has welcomed the arrival of the seasoned and established veteran whose technological and professional background would now help the business benefit from tech-driven solutions that seek to bolster innovation at the company and address the business needs in full.

"We’re cementing our leadership position in the cashless space, and John is the right leader, at the right time, to help guide us there," Skinner added. Commenting on his appointment further, Skinner also said:

"Every step of his career, John’s shown natural aptitude for client relationship management and large-scale systems integrations, and a keen, tactical eye for optimizing performance at all levels of an operation."

Cashless gambling technology has been an important part of the strategic efforts of many companies in recent months. Among those are Light & Wonder and Trustly who have joined forces to work together on the RAPIDPLAY cashless solution deployed across casino gaming floors.

In some jurisdictions, such as New South Wales in Australia, companies are already experimenting with wider cashless gaming trials, which are part of an upcoming set of changes to the industry. In places like the United States, cashless gaming technology will be mostly used to help complement the experience and not replace cash payments, as the country has a robust reporting system when it comes to the money that flows through casinos.
