Light & Wonder and Trustly team up for cashless payments

Light & Wonder and Trustly have teamed up to bring a new cashless payment solution to the market, combining the two companies' respective expertise in payments and cross-platform gameplay. As a result, Light & Wonder will be able to deploy its cashless solution, RAPIDPLAY, on casino floors while Trustly will ensure that players enjoy the same seamless payment experience that they would normally get online.

Commenting on this opportunity, Trustly Inc. VP of Gaming John Parsons has welcomed the chance to see his company move forward with a pronounced leader in the cross-platform gaming sector as Light & Wonder. Light & Wonder, said Parsons, has been a leader in innovation, as testified by the introduction of RAPIDPLAY and leveraging the In-Person Payments feature deployed by Trustly Pay.

"We are proud to collaborate with Light & Wonder to deliver quick and secure instant payments on the casino floor," Parsons explained. The cashless payments are powered by Trustly Pay and Trustly ID and they require no sign up, app download, or payment card to pass through, simplifying the onboarding process and ensuring that payments are both AML and KYC compliant while they also enable players to focus on what they enjoy the best – the gaming.

The partnership is also hoping to drive better overall commercial results for partner casinos that choose to implement the RAPIDPLAY cashless payment option powered by Trustly, the press statement explains. For one, the reduction of cash transactions would boost the overall efficiency of casino floors.

Players will further be able to top up their gaming accounts in a matter of seconds without the need to stop by the cage, and the technology could be further deployed to address responsible gambling needs.
