GiG snags ex SBTech and Draftkings Exec as CBO for Platform & Sportsbook

Gaming InnovationGroup (GiG) has strengthened its executive lineup securing Andrew Cochrane as the company’s new Chief Business Officer for Platform & Sportsbook. Cochrane is a seasoned industry veteran who has worked in some of the biggest companies in the sector, including DraftKings and SBTech where he collaborated with GiG’s current Platform & Sportsbook CEO for Platform & Sportsbook, Richard Carter.

Cochrane’s appointment is tied to GiG’s ambitions to spearhead stronger commercial success and growth, led by the ex-SBTech and DraftKings executive. Cochrane’s track record includes numerous high-profile contracts in his older positions which have allowed him to help expand the footprints of respective businesses he used to work for.

His joining GiG is aligned with the company’s desire to continue and deliver outstanding solutions that are innovative and leverage artificial intelligence to stand out. GiG operates in both iGaming and sportsbooks and brings around accomplished and worthwhile products. Cochrane will seek to grow GiG’s footprint in global markets and cement its position as one of the leaders of turnkey solutions in both verticals.

Commenting on his appointment, Cochrane said that he was extremely excited to be joining GiG’s team. He said that he was impressed with the quality of the products and solutions developed by the company and was looking forward to strengthening its offer.

As to Carter, the executive lauded Cochrane’s continuous expertise and said that he was very pleased with the executive in both the current post, but also based on the two’s previous interactions as part of SBTech.
