Following more than a 12-year stint at Flutter Entertainment, Asaf Noifeld, the company’s managing director of casino, has stepped down from his position and is leaving the company.
Noifeld was first assigned to the position in May 2022, and he has led the company’s push into online casinos since then, and is himself a 12-year Flutter Entertainment veteran.
Announcing his decision in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday, June 10, Noifeld said that this was the right moment for "the next adventure." Noifeld is not stepping down from the company immediately, however, noting:
"I’ll still be around for the next few months before officially wrapping up later this year, so there will be plenty of time for conversations, handovers, a smooth transition, and a proper ‘Thank You’"
He originally joined Flutter Entertainment back in 2014, following a cold call from Sam Hobcraft, PokerStars Casino’s first managing director.
"I joined the company in 2014 and honestly had no idea at the time how much this journey would shape me – professionally and personally," the departing manager explained.
Hobcraft immediately recruited Noifeld with the promise that Flutter Entertainment was vowing to build the world’s biggest online casino, which enticed him to join the company.
His position withing thecompany and at PokerStars andFanDuel helped him develop new skills and deepen his understanding of products, strategy, leadership, pressure, competition, and growth. Noifeld said that he was lucky to have had the opportunity to work and meet the people he had at Flutter Entertainment and FanDuel.
Noifeld's stewardship has been paying off for Flutter Entertainment and FanDuel Casino specifically, with the online gaming juggernaut holding an estimated 28% of the US iGaming market in the parent company’s own estimates as of the end of 2025.
In the meantime, iGaming revenue has been increasing steadily, with Flutter Entertainment reporting a 19% jump in its US iGaming revenue during its first quarter of the current financial year.
Noifeld’s departure comes at a dynamic time for Flutter Entertainment and FanDuel.
FanDuel is moving into its third round of layoffs in about a year’s time, with hundreds of positions affected according to multiple reports and LinkedIn posts by employees.
