The leading provider of quality casino content, Booming Games, continues to strengthen its C-suite.

This week, the company announced the appointment of the experienced executive, Michael Waterfield, to the key role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

The new CCO brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience

Joining Booming Games, the executive brings significant experience spanning nearly two decades.

In his role as CCO, Waterfield will be in charge of the company’s complete commercial functions.

He will oversee Booming Games’ account management, commercial performance, as well as sales, market strategy and other aspects vital for the growth of the business.

Not unexpectedly, Waterfield will collaborate with teams across the company and support Booming Games’ expansion plans.

Ultimately, the company anticipates securing regulatory approval and entering every major market in the next two years, and the new CCO appointment is expected to be a major part of those growth processes.

Waterfield spoke about his appointment at Booming Games, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Booming Games is a business that has made a significant impact on the global gaming sector in recent years, so I am delighted to join and support the next phase of its growth," the new CCO said.

Moreover, Waterfield pointed out: "I look to build commercial strategy on factors like data and margin discipline, underpinned by collaboration."

The executive acknowledged that his top proprieties would include close collaboration with product and business intelligence teams with the goal of strengthening the company’s discipline "around pricing, promotions and deal structure, to ensure the pipeline we are building converts at the pace our roadmap deserves."

Michael Waterfield is the perfect fit for the C-suite role at Booming Games

Ramona Petrina, Booming Games’ Chief of Staff, welcomed Waterfield to the company’s C-suite.

"We deliberately took our time with this appointment, and in Michael we have the perfect fit for our business," she said.

What’s more Petrina outlined: "His track record is second to none; he has held commercial leadership on both sides of our industry, at scale, and has done the numbers as well as the deals."

Waterfield’s career in finance started at Talarius where he worked for several years, holding different roles, including Commercial Finance Manager.

His background includes senior-level roles at NetEnt, where he served as Head of Commercial Strategy, as well as Commercial Manager for Casino position at GVC.

Later in his career, Waterfield joined White Hat Studios.

Holding a number of leading roles at that company, he rose from VP Commercial to SVP Commercial and Corporate Strategy.

Overall, Waterfield has nearly 20 years of various experience and a range of skills, making him an excellent addition to the senior-leadership team at Booming Games.
