DAZN BET has now officially launched in the United Kingdom with the company running a soft beta product for the first time. This is a debut for DAZN Group’s betting platform as well. The launch caps the group’s efforts to establish itself in the sports betting vertical and launch in one of the most important global betting markets, the United Kingdom.
The company’s streaming services have established DAZN as one of the go-to platforms for watching sports worldwide with the group determined to grow further. Part of this growth goes through branching into the sports betting vertical which will have a high added value to the streaming platform’s core product.
DAZN BET said that the launch of its product will add more "recreational, sociable and relevant experiences" for sports fans today. DAZN is mustering its sizable audiences in the market to break ground and secure reach with its new product as well.
Thanks to DAZN’s experience with live and non-live sports streaming and dedicated content, DAZN BET will have access to engaged audiences that are looking for ways to translate the viewership experience into something more relatable.
The company itself has claimed that it’s planning to deliver 360-degree interactive sports entertainment, which now involves sports betting, but DAZN is aiming even higher. It’s looking to expand in NFTs, tickets and merchandise sales, and so much more. As the company puts it, there is nothing that would stop it from catering to what sports fans need today.
DAZN BET CEO Mark Kemp commented on the exciting opportunity that now presents itself for the company. Kemp is determined that DAZN BET will do for sports viewership a lot, revitalizing audiences in a way that FuboTV is doing through its own dedicated sportsbook solutions.
Kemp added that the company is on a mission to build a richer entertainment product that can be integrated with DAZN’s daily sports business "where possible." "Whilst this market entry will be a learning phase, our goal is to provide sports fans with a fantastic recreational sports betting product for DAZN’s global sports fans community. It is a journey, and we begin it now," the executive concluded.
DAZN BET has been shopping around for talent for a fair while now, securing the services of Pete Everson as Head of Talent Acquisition and Matt Hartington as Head of Legal. Yet, the company’s biggest success in the talent pool has undoubtedly been the hiring of former Boylesports CEO, Mark Kemp himself, who is now leading the betting division.
Shay Segev, an Entain and betting industry heavyweight, is currently serving as DAZN Group’s Chief Executive Officer. DAZN BET is set to make even bigger ripples in the betting and sports entertainment spaces and no doubt shape up as a competitor to FuboTV.
