Caesars Entertainment has officially ended support for credit cards as one of the available payment options across its fleet of gaming websites.
The company confirmed that the measure was already rolled out in mid-April, and that Caesars Digital websites and apps no longer supported credit cards.
This includes the entire fleet of brands, including the Horseshoe Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, Caesars Racebook, and Caesars Palace Online Casino, as well as the William Hill Sportsbook and World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online.co
However, the restriction does not affect operations in Ontario, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Caesars is not the first iGaming company in the United States to have proceeded with the ban of credit cards for the purposes of online gaming and sports betting.
Other companies to have done so recently include DraftKings in August 2025, FanDuel on March 2, 2026, and BetMGM on March 31, 2026, as well as bet365 on April 13. Others never opted for credit cards as a payment option to begin with, such as Fanatics Gaming and Betting.
Some companies, however, continue to offer credit cards as a payment method, including theScore, Hollywood Casino, Bally’s, BetRivers, and Hard Rock Bet.
Credit cards do not have a material impact on the operations of gambling companies, as the payment methods have been tentatively phased out not only locally in the United States but also internationally, citing concerns about responsible gambling.
From a business point of view, however, this has not led to a dip in revenue, while also helping strengthen consumer safeguards. In the United States, credit cards as payment options are banned across several states, including Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Iowa, Tennessee, and others.
