The leading multinational lottery operator, Allwyn, announced a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed Friday it selected Naida Buljugic for the role of Global Chief People and Culture Officer. A statement released by the company reveals that the appointment is effective as of September 1, 2023, and marks the first such role.
For Buljugic, the appointment represents a promotion, as she has been a part of the management-level team at Allwyn'sCasinos Austria and Austrian lotteries for the last five years. During that time, she held the role of Head of HR. Now, as the company's first Global Chief People and Culture Officer, Buljugic will be in charge of Allwyn's People and Culture strategy across the globe. Moreover, she will play an important role in different talent development initiatives and oversee strategic organizational tasks.
Robert Chvátal, Allwyn's CEO, shared his excitement about the recent appointment and said that he is delighted to see Buljugic fill the new role. According to him, in her new role, Buljugic will spearhead growth and bring positive change across different markets. "She has demonstrated terrific leadership during her time at Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries, and in her previous roles at UniCredit and OSCE," added Chvátal.
He said that her extensive experience in combination with a strong understanding of Allwyn's culture makes her the perfect fit for the new role. Finally, Chvátal pointed out: "I look forward to working with her, as we continue to develop world-class talent across our markets for a world-leading lottery."

She highlighted the extensive experience that will help her in the new Global Chief People and Culture Officer role. Outside of Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries, she has extensive knowledge and experience within the HR vertical. For several years Buljugic was a part of UniCredit Group where she held important roles such as Head of CEE HR Corporate & Investment Banking and Private Banking in Vienna. Her experience includes a Group Head of Executive Development and Talent Management role for UniCredit Group's Milan operations.
Additionally, Buljugic held an important role for Risk Management where she served as Group Head of HR. Throughout her career, she was also a part of other European companies where she held roles such as Organization for Security and HR.
