The New York Jets have had a handful of wins and losses since the start of the football season and they are scheduled to play against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday.
One NFL insider suggests that the Jets may be heading toward another major rebuild.
In an exclusive interview with Casino Guru News, Jason La Canfora, the award-winning NFL reporter, insider and analyst, discussed potential changes that may soon affect New York.
Early in the interview, the insider explained that the Jets may explore options for a rebuild, and changing the head coach is one possible outcome.
"The New York Jets are perpetually rebuilding, thinking about internally a new head coach, and that's certainly the case right now," La Canfora suggested.
The insider acknowledged Aaron Glenn is unlikely to return as head coach of the franchise in 2027. Still, if that happens, La Canfora said, the league is likely going to be shocked.
"And Aaron Glenn is someone who the entire league would be shocked, frankly, if he's back with the Jets in 2027," the award-winning NFL reporter stressed.
According to La Canfora, the Jets may pursue a high-profile coach like Mike Tomlin, the former Pittsburgh Steelers' head coach, yet whether or not they would be able to land him remains uncertain.
"Whether they're able to get a big fish like Mike Tomlin remains to be seen, but they are a team that again, is not going to compete this year, and that is fielding calls ahead of the trade deadline," the insider said in conclusion.
The 2026 NFL trade deadline is set for November 10, 2026.
