The NFL trade deadline is less than two weeks away, and the Pittsburgh Steelers may be looking to strengthen their offense, an insider and analyst suggests.
Jason La Canfora, the award-winning NFL reporter, analyst and insider, discussed the options the franchise may consider, acknowledging it could add another playmaker to its roster.
"I’d keep an eye on the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are being pretty ambitious, I’m told behind the scenes, and would love to add another playmaker," the league expert revealed in an exclusive interview with Casino Guru News.
La Canfora acknowledged the Steelers ongoing string of victories, which is why they are reportedly flying under the radar as a potential buyer.
"They’re at 5 and 2. They’re flying a little bit under the radar," he said.
La Canfora mentioned the Steelers’ wide receiver, DK Metcalf, outlining that he has "some limitations in the routes he runs."
However, according to the analyst and insider, Pittsburgh can benefit from a trade with the New York Jets and acquiring a player such as Garrett Wilson.
"You bring in someone like Garrett Wilson with the tight ends they have, with a back like Jaylen Warren who can catch a lot of balls, with DK Metcalf running those go routes on the outside, that could be interesting," La Canfora said in conclusion.
The Steelers have not announced a trade at the time of writing. They most recently played against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and won 27-6.
This win prolonged the former team’s winning streak, which is now 6 wins and 2 losses for the 2026 NFL season.
