In an exclusive interview at the recently concluded SiGMA Rome 2025, Casino Guru News had a chance to catch up with Andrei Alexandrov, Investment Portfolio Manager at RedCore.

The conversation pivots towards RedCore’s investment division, which Andrei argues is quite extensive, sprawling across various sectors, including iGaming and fintech, big data and analytics, but also many others.

At this point, Andrei clarifies that it is not just a matter of picking one specific sphere. Promising projects that are worth investing in may actually have a combination of various spheres, which creates a great field of opportunities to be tapped into.

RedCore is different than what usually happens in investment markets, as the traditional model relies on either venture capital or M&As, with RedCore leaning heavily on the latter. Yet, these M&As are rooted in strategic partnerships, offering investment targets funds, specialists, products, and expertise.

This model helps target companies overcome obstacles as well as scale their business, resulting in a symbiotic business relationship. While RedCore is selective about how it picks its partners, its investment strategy boils down to analyzing what a company has to offer and if it has an idea that is innovative or a product that delivers real-world impact.

RedCore looks past money, oftentimes, argues Andrei, as the company is firmly focused on evaluating the merits of a company’s idea and products, and whether it has a strong team behind these.

Once a partnership is established, it’s all about offering target investment businesses all the opportunities they can get – access to other companies in the RedCore network or its connections, products, and expertise. RedCore goes a step further, helping with business guidance and growth.

A great idea is not all it takes, adds Andrei, who argues that any investment and strategic partnership should come from a place of understanding – a target business’s strengths and weaknesses, what can be improved, and how to move forward.

The Hollywood idea of an investor swooping in and offering ready funds without first taking a scrupulous look at a product or an idea’s potential is now gone, says Andrei. The entire conversation with Andrei Alexandrov is well worth watching.
