During SBC Summit Lisbon 2026, we sat down with Miranda Guliashvili, Head of Regional Growth at SOFTSWISS, to discuss the trends operators should watch and how they can prepare for what comes next.

Miranda explains how the SOFTSWISS iGaming Trends Report can help businesses review their existing strategies, draw inspiration from industry experts, and make better-informed decisions.

The report discussed in the interview is SOFTSWISS’ fifth edition, compiled through extensive data gathering and resource use and involving a field of iGaming experts who have helped contribute meaningfully to the conclusions of the findings.

The report is important, notes Guliashvili, as it does not mean to completely upend a business’ strategy but rather challenge the business’ assumptions. Guliashvili argues that the report is there to compare what SOFTSWISS has identified as emerging trends and whether businesses are adjusting to these changes in their own strategy execution.

She also shares why regulated markets offer greater long-term stability, why responsible gambling should be a standard rather than a competitive advantage, and why player protection and fairness remain essential across the industry.

The industry is growing, too, with iGaming one of the leading AI adopters in the world, Guliashvili notes, and also adds that companies such as Google and Amazon are beginning to engage actively in industry events.

The conversation also explores SOFTSWISS’ expansion in Latin America, the importance of understanding each market individually, and Miranda’s predictions for AI, data-driven regulation, and market diversification in 2027.
