Yury Makarov: "Commercial success is not only signing the contract today"

During SBC Summit Lisbon 2026, Casino Guru News sat down with Yury Makarov, Chief Commercial Officer at Evenbeter, to discuss the company’s rebranding, its expanding product portfolio, and what lies ahead for the business.

Makarov explained that the decision to rebrand was not the result of a single decision made at a single point in time, but rather the accumulation of changes and continued and sustained growth since at least 2022.

The company has tripled its staff over the past years and expanded beyond poker, its original staple, into casino and aggregation platforms. Despite this branching out, though, notes Makarov, Evenbeter has continued to invest in poker content.

The rebranding comes down to the company’s ambition to do better and provide better services, content, and ultimately partnerships for interested parties. The rebranding has been embraced as an opportunity to continue on this journey, with partners providing positive feedback regarding the decision to change branding.

Evenbeter, argues Makarov, has maintained strong channels of communication with partners, ensuring that they stay in the loop ahead of events, and has worked to strengthen this under its newly assumed identity.

The rebranding is important, argues Makarov, as it brought the business a bigger line of products, pushing into casino and aggregation products, and driving the company’s stronger sales push.
