Soroka Live interview

Casino Guru recently attended SiGMA Rome 2025, where the publication caught up with Uliana Soroka, Talent Acquisition Team Lead at RedCore. In an exclusive interview, Uliana highlighted the importance of strong leadership, proactive individuals, and well-structured processes that support long-term career growth.

The conversation started with a clarification of what talent acquisition is and how it works within RedCore, why it is important, and how it helps shape the business. Talent acquisition is a complicated process that requires constant communication, where RedCore works with both businesses and people.

Uliana also discussed the importance of fundamental skills that define successful careers within the iGaming industry. It starts with a simple realization, she says – understanding that iGaming is a really dynamic sphere that is always changing and where people need to adapt, understand what is needed, and be proactive.

In fact, iGaming is a lot about soft skills most of the time, Uliana argues, emphasizing their importance – perhaps even over hard skills. She doubles down, arguing that hard skills are often teachable, whereas soft skills are often ingrained.

There are key skills, however, that Uliana believes are very important, and they boil down to: adaptivity, productivity, and a fast mind. RedCore’s talent acquisition does not stop at the front door, however, as the company has a strong interest in helping successful candidates grow on the job.

Businesses also need to have a structure to help their specialists grow – even the best of specialists need that structure, says Uliana, to help them shine.

Mentoring is another important part of nurturing talent, but it’s not just a "mentor" who responds to every message – rather, it’s a well-integrated structure into the business that allows people to find out more and grow on the job, while also relying on human input.

RedCore also believes that progress within a company’s hierarchy should happen in a "step-by-step" way and independent of time definitions – i.e., months or years. Progress should feel natural in a person’s career and come as a direct result of having picked up new skills and an understanding of the business.

The entire interview with Uliana is well worth watching in its entirety. To catch up on more similar discussions, Casino Guru News invites you to consider visiting the Casino Guru News YouTube channel.
