Driver and a car

A Maryland man had a close call on a highway after a rude driver cut him off, and nearly collided with the victim. However, no one was hurt in the end, but the anonymous man decided to memorize his aggressor’s car plate numbers and possibly report them to the police.

Turning dangerous driving into an opportunity

Yet, on his way home, the man stopped at a shop to pick up a few lottery tickets. Having memorized the numbers of the rude driver, an idea popped into his head. Why not use those numbers to play the lottery?

Thinking nothing of it at first and perhaps even tasting bitter disappointment at the prospect of the rude driver causing him stress and a lottery loss, the man turned in for the night. On the next morning, however, he decided to scan the Pick 5 lottery tickets he had bought the night prior.

The app went beep and revealed a staggering detail – the Maryland man had won $500,000 using that rude and dangerous driver’s plate numbers! Having bought the tickets from Doc’s F&B Liquors in Glen Burnie, the man, who works as a technician, had no idea what was going on, but he immediately realized the universe had paid him off for his trouble.

If you are going to play – play big

But to make the story even more surprising, the man had bet on ten individual Pick 5 game tickets, entering the exact same numbers for no apparent reason other than the fact he was livid at the driver who sped away at the highway. Each ticket had brought him in $50,000, bringing the total to a staggering $500,000.

No further details were provided about the winner, but he was gracious enough to offer advice to other lottery players – if you are going to play, play big, he told the lottery.
