Illinois player wins $1.2m from FastPlay lottery game

The Illinois iLottery continues to dish out worthwhile prizes, with the latest person to win scooping up a seven-figure payout of their own. The winner, whose name was not revealed by the lottery, won $1.2m playing the Ultimate Diamond Jackpot FastPlay game.

The person bought the winning ticket on Thursday, April 17, through the Illinois iLottery platform and claimed the prize right away. The lottery did not provide any further details about the person who won, other than to offer further insight into the status of prizes in 2025.

So far into the year, the Illinois Lottery has awarded more than 388,000 winning tickets, according to the organization’s official press release, which also revealed the latest Ultimate Diamond Jackpot winner.

The FastPlay game genre has grown in popularity with players at the Illinois Lottery, and the company has already introduced 25 such titles that are available through its dedicated app. With $24.6m paid in prizes so far in 2025, the Illinois iLottery continues to be one of the most generous lotteries in the country.
