The leading global provider of lottery games, solutions and technology, Brightstar Lottery, will continue to power the offering of Washington’s Lottery.
On Monday, the company announced it signed a new seven-year contract with the lottery operator in Washington state.
As a result, the latter will continue to benefit from Brightstar Lottery’s innovative technology and access new lottery terminals, as well as self-service vending machines.
Initially, Washington’s Lottery and Brightstar Lottery inked a partnership in 1996.
Building on the success of this long-term strategic alliance, the Lottery now selected the company for a new contract under which it will tap into industry-leading equipment and enhance its offering across the state of Washington.
Notably, the agreement extends the alliance between Brightstar Lottery and Washington’s Lottery through June 30, 2036.
Brian Bennett, Washington’s Lottery Director, spoke with excitement about the successful alliance between the duo.
"For 30 years, Brightstar has helped Washington's Lottery stay at the forefront of providing lottery retailers and players with convenient and innovative lottery experiences, including self-service and cashless solutions," he said.
Moreover, Bennett pointed out: "We look forward to continuing our long-term partnership through the deployment of Brightstar's latest lottery technology over the next ten years."
Under the seven-year agreement, Brightstar will upgrade the Lottery operator’s central system, delivering its latest commercially available lottery system.
The deal encompasses the delivery of 3,700 Retailer Pro S2 lottery terminals that feature ticket checking and player-facing digital marketing displays.
Notably, the Retailer Pro S2 lottery terminals are renowned for their reliability, performance and compatibility with peripheral devices, while meeting and exceeding current and future needs of lottery retailers.
Brightstar Lottery will also deliver 2,200 GameTouch 28 vending machines, under the terms of the new alliance.
The aforementioned vending machines stand out with efficiency, ease of use, and are proven to boost player experiences.
Last but not least, the alliance covers the deployment of 100 GameTouch20 vending machines by Brightstar Lottery.
Scott Gunn, Brightstar Lottery’s Chief Operating Officer North America Lottery, said about the new deal: "Brightstar is proud to continue our three-decade partnership with Washington's Lottery."
Moreover, Gunn pointed out: "The innovative system solutions and retail equipment we'll deliver to Washington's Lottery under this agreement will power the Lottery's growth, provide entertaining and responsible experiences for its players, and support the funds raised by the Lottery for educational and other good causes across Washington."
Only recently, Brightstar Lottery announced a partnership extension with the Oregon Lottery.
