The fast-growing online lottery courier service, TheLotter, announced its plans to suspend operations in New York.
Earlier in the week, the company confirmed its intention to withdraw from the market in New York in a move that complements its long-term expansion strategy.
A statement released by TheLotter confirms its New York website will stop accepting orders effective January 29, 2026.
The company further said that it will cancel and fully refund any existing orders, multi-draw packages or drawings from subscription that are scheduled after the aforementioned date.
TheLotter New York users were notified about the suspension of the lottery courier service's operation in the state.
Players will have the option to withdraw their account funds until April 29, 2026, a statement released by TheLotter says.
Users who fail to meet that deadline can contact the company's customer service team and receive further information and assistance.
TheLotter's withdrawal in New York comes after last year, the company entered the market and secured a license from the New York Gaming Commission.
However, in an effort to streamline its operations and expand its presence in other U.S. states, the company decided to suspend its operations in New York.
The decision was described as "difficult" by TheLotter US' Head of Marketing, Jessica Griggs, who also acknowledged that leaving New York will enable the company to allocate more resources to its long-term expansion across the country.
"While we are proud to have served players in New York, this strategic shift enables us to focus on markets where we can grow more efficiently and deliver the best possible experience," she added.
Finally, Griggs pointed out: "By concentrating our efforts, we're positioning ourselves for sustainable expansion across the country."
While leaving the New York market, TheLotter said it remains optimistic about its future growth nationwide.
Last year, the lottery courier service released its improved website, reaffirming its plan to continue to grow its reach.
In November, the company withdrew from New Jersey, once again confirming its plans to focus on other U.S. states.
TheLotter's improved website remains operational to all players located in Arizona, Oregon, as well as Minnesota, offering faster performance, streamlined experience and other user benefits.
